Headteacher, Daniel Owen, said: “Once again, we’ve had a bumper set of results this summer. Following our excellent A-Level results last week, which we believe will place us in The Times top ten in Wales for a second successive year, it is now our GCSE students who are celebrating.
“There are many notable individual performances, including: Elsa Levy Marshall with seven A* and five A grades; Kate Jerman with five A* and six A grades; Alicia Higgins with eleven A*-A grades; Isobel Blanchard with ten A*-A grades; Eva George and Cerys Wilson who both achieved eight A*-A grades; and Oscar Crutchley, Jacob Moody and Elle Owen who each achieved seven A*-A grades.
Results are also outstanding in a number of subject areas. For example, 100 per cent of students passed English language, English literature, Art, Business Studies, Drama, French, Geography, History, Media, Music, PE, Product Design and Religious Education. Every other subject area performed above 90 per cent.
I would like to extend my warm congratulations to every student on their results and for reaping the rewards of their hard work. We look forward to welcoming many of these exceptional students back into Sixth Form where we will continue to ensure they excel academically. We are especially proud of the fact that, this year, every single student secured a place at his or her first choice university.
Once again, I would like to thank every member of staff for their professionalism, hard work and high standard of teaching and pastoral care that have made these results possible.”
