Llanidloes High School is proud to be a 3 x holder of the Eco Schools Platinum Award. The eco-committee is open to all and is actively involved with improving the school environment and reducing waste and energy usage within the school. Projects have included establishing living barriers around the school, maintaining the wildlife pond and borders, liaising with the adjoining primary school to plant trees and arranging recycling initiatives within the school.
We have close links with the nature reserve at Gilfach and members of the committee have visited the team there to participate in bespoke activity days.
